Provision of Speech, Sound Perception and Articulation Teacher Guide

This project is designed to build capacity in quality literacy and numeracy teaching and learning in remote primary schools.

In this project, Dr Bea Staley, Rebecca Amery and Suzanne Howitt are working with speech pathologists Melissa Ridd and Erin Coonan on the NT Government - Children's Development Team as well as Amy Southwood from Carpentaria Kids to develop a ‘Speech, Sound Perception and Articulation Teacher Guide.’ The guide is designed for teachers to help them implement speech sound activities in their classrooms, with a focus on children who are learning English as an additional language.

The ‘Speech, Sound Perception and Articulation Teacher Guide’ will be available for download through the NT Department of Education’s Learning Links website. The ‘Speech, Sound Perception and Articulation Teacher Guide’ needs to be completed and available for download in December 2017
